Bank of Canada Holds Key Rate

The Bank of Canada in their first policy announcement of 2024 has held its policy rate steady at 5%.

The Chairman, Tiff Macklem didn’t rule out further hikes, but for now the slight increase in CPI was not enough to warrant a hike in this meeting.
